Ikorodu City Football club today emerged the champion of the EkoFootball NNL Preseason tournament after they defeated Ottasolo Football Club of Lagos 2-1, in the final played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

The tournament’s winners trophy was presented to the captain of Ikorodu City FC by the Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who was supported by the Vice Chairman, Otunba Tade Azeez.

The Lagos FA boss who is also the 1st Vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation, expressed delight that he was satisfied with the standard of the NNL Preseason tournament meant to prepare the NNL teams in Lagos to perform excellently in the NNL, unlike what used to be the case in previous seasons when Lagos teams in the NNL perform below expectations due to poor preparations.
