Imeko Convocation Committee, ICC, Organizes Oshoffa Super 8 League Football Competition In Lagos

Necessary arrangements have been concluded for the maiden edition of Oshoffa Gold Cup Super 8 League football competition scheduled to kick-off on Thursday, July 25th through Saturday, July 27th 2024 at the Abalti Military Barracks Sports Complex, Tejuosho, Yaba

The competition organised by the Sports Subcommittee Team of The Imeko Convocation Committee, ICC Worldwide is approved and supported by the Executive Committee of the ICC Worldwide

The tournament will commence with four knock- out matches as the CCC Opopo Ona-Iwamimo, Ikorodu will tackle CCC Itedo Parish, Ibadan, in the first match.

CCC Makoko National Headquarters will challenge CCC SBJ Oshoffa Memorial, Dopemu, while CCC Orile – Iganmu will play against CCC Ayo Igbalami, Ikorodu.

The fourth match fixed to wrap up the preliminary round of knock out matches, will see CCC Tejuosho Cathedral confronting CCC Ogudu Expressway.

According to the organiser, the competition which will be played on knock-out basis will feature eight of the best football parishes in Nigeria and will command enthusiastic crowd comprising sports enthusiasts, athletes,coaches, and the local media.

In the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, the Secretary of the Sports Subcommittee ICC Worldwide Seye Bada, confirmed that the best eight that qualified for the quarter final 2023 Imeko Convocation football tournament would compete for honours at the maiden edition of Oshoffa Super 8 League football competition, stressing that it was an avenue to bring the church’s youths together through sports.

The ICC is also supporting the Celestial Children and Youths in spreading Evangelism positivity through Sports.

The final comes up on Saturday, July 27th 2024 at the Abalti Military Barracks Sports Complex, Tejuosho, Yaba
