When on 14th January, 2020, Senator Hope Nwa Uzodimma was rightly declared the duly elected Governor of Imo State, it was like the turning point to what appeared to be a state of political and economic inertia. The following day January 15, over 10 private Jets landed Imo Airport and on board were notable leaders across the country and top officials of the Presidency with prominent leaders from Imo state  accompanying the man of the moment – Uzodimma to come and take over the reins of power in Imo state.

On hand to receive him and his deputy Governor from Abuja were mammoth crowd of joyous Imolites and men and women of goodwill. The entire state was thrown into an unimaginable jubilation. Yours sincerely was among the jubilant Imolites that stormed Sam Mbakwe Airport to receive the man whom God destined to lift Imo state from the pit of hopelessness occasioned by hitherto corrosive governance dotted by embezzlement, land grabbing, and corruption to the rostrum of Shared Prosperity.

Governor Uzodimma, everybody will agree with me  is among the few individuals that his views and opinion are sought for in this country. He is a very highly revered personality in Nigeria today and this is not an exaggeration. At different instances, Governor Uzodimma had been dispatched by both the Federal Government and the National leadership of his party both PDP and APC to states that are having seeming irreconcilable political differences. He has also been called upon at different times to intervene in very difficult situations in this country and in all; he did not fail in any. He succeeded in all. That is the level at which this man is placed, revered and recognized nationally.

At the state level, Governor Uzodimma is like a recurrent decimal in the socio-political evolution of the state far before he became Governor. He is very much loved and respected by many except those who are victims of his deft political moves. I mean those who lost power in January 14 and those who did not succeed in installing a dynasty in Imo state are the only people who will say contrary things against him and It is expected anyway.

Above all, this man known as Hope Uzodimma is a man of destiny. He is divinely blessed and positioned to change his world for good. From birth, he exhibited this sign. He is always providing Hope in a state of hopelessness. A close inquiry about his birth, upbringing, political ascendency and spiritual life, you will understand that Hope Odidika Uzodimma has  an imprimatur of divine touch. All his battles have been won to his side. He storms have been weathered by unseen hands in his life. Usually, in times when others see desert is where he finds his water. Their casting down is Uzodimma’s lifting up. It is not by his powers but indeed, it is God’s doing.

As Governor of Imo state since the past 18 months, the truth is that though we may not be there yet but there are signs that Imo state future is looking up progressively under Uzodimma. He is doing his best and showing the way for others to follow. A leader must be one who knows the way, shows the way and leads the way. That is the hallmark of a true leader. He is always innovative, Governor Uzodimma has de-emphasied this grabbing of public asset mentality by those in power in the past in the state. He has brought that sense of hopefulness in Imo state. He has shown style. He has combined good governance with patriotism and human face.

In all, I think there is a valuable content inside this Container called Governor Uzodimma. He is a man to watch closely in this Country because he has a date with destiny. He is going somewhere. Mark my word today.

Truthfully Yours, Nwamkpa Modestus is my name and I approve of this piece.
