It was a heart warming courtesy call nay political parley on Wednesday 15, 2023, as Council of Nwangele Traditional Rulers under the chairmanship of HRH Eze (Hon.) Uzomah Onunenyi (Ekiti ll of Ekitiafor Abba), received in audience at his palace the rave of the moment and leading Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Orlu Senate, Chief Charles Ahize; as the royal fathers engaged him on a number of issue based discussions before releasing their blessings  having been truly convinced of his sincerity of purpose and burning desire to change the ugly narrative of the representation approach in the Imo West Senatorial District, Njoku Macdonald Obinna disclosed.
While presenting his principal, Chief Charles Ahize, to Nwangele traditional rulers; whom he described as a man whose straps of shoes he is not worthy to untie, Dr. Batos Nwadike, who took over the stage from the Director General of Charles Ahize Campaign Organisation, Dr. C.C.  Ubah, after the kolanut presentation, made bold to tell ndi Eze Nwangele that Charles Ahize is an illustrious son of Orlu Zone, who has touched many lives and communities very positively in divergent ways without noise and without waiting for a clap trap.
Harping on the marginalization in the Imo Senatorial District; where the Oru Nation of Oru East LGA  and Oru West LGA, have produced the State Governor, First Lady, Minister and Senator, it is right for the interest of equity, fairness and justice that the Orlu clan produces the next Senator in Chief Charles Ahize, Batos Nwadike strongly advocated.
During his remarks, candidate of Labour Party for Imo West Senatorial District,  Chief Charles Ugochukwu Ahize-Chukwu, promised to ensure robust, effective, inclusive and people-oriented representation if elected into office. Proferring a lasting solution to the security guagmire that has made people abandon their ancestral homes and farmlands in Orlu Zone for fear of the unknown, the proactive senatorial hopeful and a strong voice, Akpuruka na Orlu, affirmed that he would bring all the stakeholders to a roundtable meeting including the agitating groups to resolve the issue rather than resorting to the use of brute force to achieve this  goal.
Making reference to Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri’s politics of humanity and caring for traditional rulers in Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency, Chief Charles Ahize, who regretted how the PDP candidate for Orlu Senatorial zone was removed through a Supreme Court judgement, promised to fill the gap for the traditional rulers by ensuring prompt payment of their  monthly welfare stipend as fathers.
In his own words, Chief Charles Ahize described: “Jones Onyereri as a polished  gentleman and political leader, who doesn’t play politics of bitterness unlike the APC senatorial candidate for Orlu Zone”.
He maintained that most of the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party in Orlu zone with conscience would rather vote for Labour Party than the All Progressives Congress (APC) that has brought untold hardship and economic crisis in Imo State and Nigeria at large.
Headed to the St. Mary’s Primary School, Umuorlu Isu, Nwangele LGA, where over 3000 LP members, party chieftains , different support groups and all the  Labour Party political wards in Nwangele Local Government area were already seated while awaiting for the arrival of the entourage of Orlu incoming Senator, Chief Charles Ahize, Dr. Batos Nwadike , Spokesman of the Charles Ahize Senatorial Campaign Organisation, on behalf of his principal had a town hall meeting with over 50 heads of the different support groups rooting for Peter Obi and Charles Ahize in Nwangele LGA nay Orlu senatorial zone.
Setting the wheels of progress of the event in motion, an obviously elated Director General of Charles Ahize Senatorial Campaign Organisation (CASCO), Chief Dr. C.C. Ubah, commended Nwangele LGA Labour Party under the Chairmanship of Hon. Ken Iwuoha, Coordinator of Charles Ahize Campaign Organisation in the area, Barr. Obinwa  Etukemka and other organisers of the rally for playing different strategic roles toward its huge success, assuring them of victory with the level of massive  support across political divides that the Labour Party and her senatorial candidate in Orlu zone, Chief Charles Ahize, are enjoying.
In a rather Obama-like resounding speech, which was greeted with a standing ovation by the women and his audience, Dr. Batos Nwadike highlighted the scorecard of his principal, Chief Charles Ahize, in practical human capacity development without noise, youth empowerment without publicity, advocacy for social justice without a clap trap, total defense of Ndigbo at the Ladipo Market in Lagos State without hugging the media limelight, taking up the  ‘Apo 6 Case in Abuja’ where young six Igbo traders  returning home after the day’s hustle were abruptly killed by security operatives in a draconian brute force. Oyi of Igboland threw caution to the wind as he presented Labour Party’s candidate for Imo West Senatorial District, Chief Charles Ugochukwu Ahize -Chukwu, as the most qualified candidate with capacity, social contacts, wider reach, honesty, friendliness and accessibility. More importantly, he has the courage and strength of character to make case for Orlu people and recover the zone from the wasted years that past and successive representatives of Imo West Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate held sway while converting  the people’s federal job slots and opportunities to personal use for their families and political cronies.
Chief Charles Ahize without mincing words, told Nwangele people that he didn’t need anything else outside recovering Orlu zone and setting it on the path of accelerated economic development through creation of job opportunities for the teeming youth, which would go a long way in reducing the crime rate in Orlu zone. Calling on God’s intervention for vengeance on those who sponsor the kidnapping and killing in Orlu zone, Chief Charles Ahize raised his Bible up as a symbol of spiritual agreement and chain prayer against those who fuel the crisis in the area.
As Nigerians go to the polls on Saturday, February 25, 2023; days away from today,  to elect their leaders  in Orlu Senatorial zone, Chief Charles Ugochukwu Ahize -Chukwu, the new rave, toast and bride of Imo West Senatorial District, no doubt, has raised the bar of campaign as he traversed the various political wards in Orlu zone while  basking in the euphoria of the alluring massive support the Labour Party under whose ‘Papa, Mama and Pikin logo’  he is contesting the elections.
Charley Akpuruka is moving with unrelenting force as he takes his message of Orlu Recovery to the doorsteps of his rival; Chief Osita Izunaso, in Oru East Local Government Area, consulting even the ordinary people as the other he relaxes in his luxurious Transcorp Hilton Apartment, Abuja, waiting for political magic from the Imo State governor.
Finding the center of gravity that holds the entire structure of your opponents is very key in political warfare. Chief Charles Ahize has unlocked their strategy and is marshalling out plans  to recover Orlu Senatorial zone and hand it over to the people.
The highly impressive massive turnout at the Labour Party political rally in Nwangele LGA is a strong pointer that the good people of Nwangele have received the message of a New Nigeria under Mr. Peter Obi with open hearts as Chief Batos Nwadike, Barr. Obinwa Etukemka,  and Hon. Ken Iwuoha alongside the different support groups, played strategic roles to ensure the  success of the event.
