Paralympic Committee of Nigeria, (PCN) has sent a congratulatory message as Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu takes oath of office as Commander-in-Chief and President, Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday.

The president of PCN, Mr Sunday Odebode was quoted in a congratulatory message by his Public Relations Officer, Mr. Niyi Alebiosu  soliciting for increase in budgetary allocation for the Committee to enhance optimal performance.

Senator Tinubu, in the past as the governor of Lagos state had been able to transform the sports sector.

According to Olabode, “available records and data show that during his second term tenure as the governor of Lagos state, athletes include Paralympians competed favourably with other athletes globally.

“Nigerians are looking forward to a repeat performance of what he did then and now as the President of the country. Also, there is need to treat the Paralympians equally with other athletes. Enough of the disparity. Paralympians have brought honours to the country. We have more medals to our credits.

“We are hoping that now that we are about to have a change of leadership, things will begin to look better.

“Once again, we congratulate Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima on the occasion of being sworn in as President and Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria respectively.
