inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has announced a landmark investment of over ₦1 billion in driver welfare initiatives across Nigeria in 2025, reinforcing its commitment to building a fairer, more supportive ride-hailing ecosystem.

Throughout the year, inDrive introduced and expanded several programmes aimed at improving driver safety, increasing earnings, recognising performance, and strengthening long-term wellbeing.

Major 2025 Driver Welfare Milestones

In 2025, inDrive significantly strengthened its driver support ecosystem through a series of high-impact initiatives designed to improve earnings, wellbeing, and long-term engagement across Nigeria. One of the major milestones was the rollout of an enhanced Platinum Tier loyalty programme, which introduced a broader range of exclusive benefits for top-performing drivers, including premium rewards, priority support, and additional earning opportunities tailored to their performance.

As part of its continued focus on safety and welfare, the company also expanded its health insurance initiative, extending coverage to 600 high-performing drivers. This support ensured that more drivers had access to essential healthcare services, reinforcing inDrive’s commitment to protecting those who power its platform.

To close off a transformative year, inDrive launched a large-scale driver rewards contest in Lagos and Abuja, offering bi-weekly prizes, live winner announcements, and interactive engagement moments designed to motivate performance, celebrate driver excellence, and strengthen community connection across its network.

A Year of Impact

Across all initiatives, inDrive’s investment of more than ₦1 billion demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to driver welfare, safety, financial empowerment and fair earnings, key pillars of its people-first mission.

“As we wrap up 2025, we’re proud of the real, measurable impact these programmes have made for thousands of drivers nationwide. “We remain committed to building a ride-hailing ecosystem that uplifts drivers and creates opportunities for sustainable growth.” ” said Timothy Oladimeji, inDrive’s Country Representative.
