The price of adultery can be fatal when one considers what happened to John Simon, a popular mechanic, during sex romp with a sex worker in a brothel in Lafia, Nasarawa State recently.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the mechanic, Simon, a father of two kids, had repaired his customer’s car, a 2014 model Toyota Camry, and was asked by the owner to drive it down to Abuja from Lafia after his day’s job.

Simon had wanted to travel overnight but changed his mind and went to sleep with his sex partner in a brothel so as to continue his journey the next day. But unfortunately for him, evil lurked around and befell him at dawn.

Police sources said that Simon was with a regular sex worker, Stella Emeerga, when some accomplices, who allegedly connived with Stella, came in, took the car key and drove it away.
He was said to be drunk that night, engaged in rounds of sex with Stella and slept off; he did not know when another man came and picked the car key from the room.

However, when it was morning and time to move, he could not find the car. Simon immediately reported the incident to the New Nyanya Police Station, which led to his immediate arrest and that of his sex partner, Stella.

After fruitless investigations for months, the car owner reportedly petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu which led to the transfer of the case to the IGP’s Intelligence Response Unit.
It was recently that one of the suspects, Francis, got arrested and he opened up on how they managed to steal the car.
The 30-year old Francis said they made plans with Stella and that the car is currently with a member of their gang, who is on the run.
He narrated they were four in number that planned to steal the car and Stella was part of it. He said they made the plan immediately the man drove into the brothel; they sent Stella as an innocent cow to go and hold him down.

Later that night, after Stella had told them that Simon was drunk, he came in and called Stella out to help him get water while another one sneaked in and stole the key.
It was the two other of his accomplices, he identified as Dodo and Ezekiel, that took the car away and gave it to a supposed buyer, who is currently on the run.
The suspects noted that boys in the area usually hung around the brothel so as to steal from careless visitors. He said they often sneak in to steal valuables while the customers snored their drunken spirits away.

Listening to Stella’s side of the story, the 25-year old mother of two, denied the whole allegation. She denied conniving with the gang to steal her customer’s car.
She said she had no idea the car had been stolen until her customer finished bathing and was looking for his key, that was when they looked outside and his car was nowhere. It was also then she realised that the piece of cloth she used to cover a hole on her door had been removed.
She claimed the key might have been stolen through the door hole. Although she consented to coming out to help the arrested suspect – (Francis) get water in the middle of the night, yet she denied leaving her door open. She said she knew the boys in their area were bad so she does not leave her door open.

She equally narrated to the Policemen how she got into prostitution. She said she was married with two kids before her husband, who went into the university to do a degree programme, became mad.
In the course of his madness, he killed one of their children and that made her to return to her parents house. She said it was one of her friends that asked her to come out and hustle. The hustling turned out to be prostitution. She said she had no choice, so she obliged.
She said she has lost count of how many men she has slept with but gets up to 8 men on good market days. She also said they charge N500 per customer on days when there are no customers especially now that men ran away because of Covid-19 pandemic.

On Simon’s account of the incident, he said he recalled Stella leaving the room but he did not suspect anything.
He said he is a mechanic and a driver and that he was taking his customer’s car to Abuja when he decided to relax a bit on the road with Stella. He agreed he has known Stella for about a year and that on his arrival, they both went to a bar, where he got drunk.
He said the only thing he could recollect was their drinking at the bar and having sex that night and that when he woke up in the morning, he found out his key was nowhere to be seen.

The trio (Simon, Stella and Francis) has been detained since their arrest while the Police continue the search for the rest of the accomplices.
