Iru/VI Council Chairperson Honoured With Trek Africa’s ‘Woman Of The Year’ Award
In recognition of her outstanding achievements in grassroots governance, Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, the Executive Chairman of Iru/Victoria Island Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has been celebrated as a recipient of the Trek Africa Woman of the Year in Grassroot Governance Award category. This prestigious honour also places her among the 25 most influential and role-model women in Africa.
The award ceremony, organised by Trek Africa, spotlighted Princess Adu’s remarkable contributions to community development and her commitment to the welfare of her constituents.
Representing the Chairman at the event, Mrs. Adetutu Philip-Oyedele, the Human Resources Officer of the Council, expressed gratitude to the organisers for the recognition.
In her acceptance speech, Princess Adu dedicated the award to the vibrant and resilient women of Iru/Victoria Island LCDA.
