Is This “Prof” Fabian Osuji The Corrupt Criminal?

Just saw a write up credited to one fake “Prof. Fabian Osuji”, and I was wondering if he is the same “Prof” Fabian Osuji, who was disgraced out of office as Minister of Education by President Obasanjo on account of bribery and corruption? After 18 years of hiding in shame, and being a bored lonesome fellow, he has a new job as a member of the social media mob. As a pathological liar, the shady character decided that his way to resurrection is to fabricate fantasies and attach Soludo to his name. What an innocuous title for his jaundiced article. Of course, if he didn’t attach Soludo to his name, who knows who this fake professor is — a total disgrace to the academic world. In a country like Nigeria, just imagine how bad he was that Fabian Osuji was the only minister sacked for bribery and corruption since 1999.
His claim to fame now is that he was a member of the Council when Soludo was promoted professor. As a member of council, Osuji was neither a member of the University Appraisal Committee (UAC) nor the University Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&P) to evaluate staff for promotion. The job of the Council was routine ratification. As a celebrated international scholar at UNN, who met the requirements for professorship at 35 and had an almost perfect score of 100% according to the University’s Yellow Book during appraisals, Fabian the shady one, could not have had any contribution.
I understand that Soludo was even living in the US (at IMF, visiting professor, and later two years at the World Bank) when his professorship at UNN was announced. President Obasanjo is still alive. On account of Soludo’s sterling performance at the CBN, everyone claims to have recommended his appointment. Yesterday, it was Andy Uba, and today, Fabian Osuji of all people. Congratulations to Soludo: success has many fathers while failure is an orphan. I am sure no one will be proud to claim that he recommended Fabian Osuji.
I have known Soludo since our days together at UNN, and he is a very courageous fellow. That’s the kind of leader we need in today’s Nigeria and Anambra is lucky to have him as its governor now. My advice to Prof. Soludo is to please ignore such lowly fellows like Fabian Osuji. You have told Ndigbo and Nigerians the truth. I am happy that serious minded Igbos and Nigerians are taking your historic piece seriously. I have read it three times and will laminate it for future reference. Thank you for being the leader who sees tomorrow.
