Islamic Cleric Arrested With Assorted Human Parts Supplied By Another Cleric

An Islamic cleric, Oluwafemi Idris, popularly known as Alfa, has been arrested by Police operatives from the Ondo State Command with different human parts supplied by another Islamic cleric, identified as Alhaji Samuel Kutelu, who is now at large. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the human parts recovered from Alfa Idris included human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine and a tongue, which he preserved at his Akoko house in the  State for ritual purposes.

 

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed that those human parts were found in his custody as exhibits.

 

Odunlami-Omisanya stated that the Police got intelligence from a reliable source in January 2024, that one Idris popularly known as Alfa in his area kept human parts in his house and intended to use them for ritual purposes.

She stated that the Police swung into action and apprehended the suspect. A search into his house at Akoko led to the discovery of human parts including human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine and a tongue.

During interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was an Islamic cleric and some of the human parts were supplied by his friend, Alhaji who is also a cleric, one Samuel Kutelu, while he supplied one Babatunde Kayode (an Oluawo) three human heads.

The Police spokesperson stated that efforts are ongoing to arrest the other cleric, who he claimed sourced the human parts for him and the suspects will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
