Jealous Lover Stabs Boyfriend To Death For Cheating On Her

A 19-year old jealous lover, Miss Olamide Adewole, has been arrested in Ogun State for allegedly stabbing her 22-year old boyfriend, Ayomide Ajayi, to death during a quarrel for allegedly cheating on her. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Sango-Ota area of Ogun State, where they reside.
The jealous Olamide Adewole was said to have found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her. It led to a heated argument before she allegedly stabbed him to death.
When she realized that she has killed him, she attempted to flee but was apprehended by a neighbour while the Police officers from the Ogun State Police Command rescued her from being mobbed.
According to the Police, on Sunday, 14th December, 2025 at about 1:00 a.m,, one Miss Omotayo of 3, Anuoluwapo Street, Aluminum Gas Line, Sango-Ota, stated that her son, Ayomide Ajayi, had a dispute with his 19-year-old girlfriend, Olamide Adewole, at the same address. During the altercation, Olamide allegedly stabbed Ayomide in the chest with a knife.‬
The Police detectives responded, arrested the suspect and recovered the knife she used in the attack. Ayomide’s body was taken to General Hospital, Ifo Mortuary, for an autopsy.‬
The suspect is currently being interrogated and the investigation is ongoing. ‬ A Police source said that the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Not minding being the lover, the suspect may likely be charged before the Court for murder under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police (CP), Lanre Ogunlowo, has commended residents and officers for their response, urging the public to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to support the Police with credible information during the festive period.
