JOF All Stars In Thrilling Friendly Game At Ojo Oniyun Centre, Ebute Meta, Lagos

The highly anticipated clash between JOF All Stars 2023 and 2024 was an electrifying encounter that showcased the skills of talented teenagers under 13.

The match, held at the Ojo Oniyun Centre, Off Apapa Road, Ebute-Metta, kicked off at 4:08 pm on Saturday and was filled with high-energy speed runs and promising performances from future soccer stars.

The packed mini-stadium was filled with soccer enthusiasts, including the teams’ sponsor and patron, Dr. Olusegun Olugboyegun, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of JOF Nigeria Limited, along with his friends, family members, associates, and business partners, as well as many other dignitaries.

The 2023 team got off to a flying start, with Emmanuel Dosu scoring the opening goal in just the 7th minute after the goalkeeper’s miscalculation.

However, JOF All Stars 2024 quickly responded with a well-crafted goal from Alabi Wasiu in the 15th minute, leveling the score.

The match was marked by impressive technical skills and fair play from both teams, with minimal infringements and a high level of sportsmanship.

Dosu struck again in the 31st minute, but Adeyinka Saidi’s quick response sealed a second goal for JOF All Stars 2024.

The match became even more intense when Michael Joshua’s powerful shot found the back of the net, giving JOF All Stars 2023 a crucial lead.

The second half was filled with thrilling moments, with both teams showcasing their skills and goalkeepers making crucial saves.

The final 35 minutes were particularly impressive, with both teams giving it their all.

In the end, JOF All Stars 2023 emerged victorious with a 3-2 win. It was a fantastic afternoon of football, and the young players showed immense potential.

In a post-match interview, the Director of Logistics and Strategy of JOF Nigeria Limited, Mr. Adeyinka Adetunji, said the crucial match was organized to follow up on the boys’ development, despite them not being within the tournament age group.

“We’ve been interested in their development since we disbanded the JOF All Stars teams for those years,” he said.

“We’ve been organizing training for them, motivating them not to give up on their soccer skills, dreams, and education, while also working on their morals outside the pitch. We’re proud of the boys and their good ambassadorship.”

With proper training and guidance, these talented youngsters could become stars in the making.

The return match is eagerly awaited, and fans are already looking forward to the next thrilling encounter.
