Jurgen Klopp Exits Liverpool End of Season

Posted on January 26, 2024

Jürgen Klopp will leave Liverpool FC, the English football club he has led to six major trophies, at the end of the current season.

Klopp said he’s quitting because he’s “running out of energy.”

His reign at the club helped Fenway Sports Group, its United States owners, to reap a massive increase in valuation.

FSG bought Liverpool for £300 million ($383 million) in 2010.

After five years of struggling to compete with its bigger rivals, Klopp was hired in 2015, and the club won the Champions League in 2019.
