KF Youth Cup Kicks Off 22 November In Ekiti State

The buzz and excitement generated by the eagerly awaited first edition of the John Kayode Fayemi U15 boys and girls football competition in Ekiti State, is indeed, infectious.
 The competition which has received the official endorsement and support of Governor John Kayode Fayemi, as well as the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, is billed to kick off Friday, November 22, 2019.
According to the organising committee of the competition, the programmes of the youth football competition started with the screening processes held at designated venues in all the 16 local government areas between November 1- 10th, and with commencement of  registration on 11th November, while draws for the competition, seminar for team coaches and a national press conference will hold on 20th November, 2019.
The Chairman of the organising committee, Kolawole Owoseni, disclosed that the group stage matches will hold at five match venues across the state including Odo Oro High School, Odo Oro, Ekiti, Ikole local government; Ijero Township stadium, Ijero Ekiti, Ijero local government; Elo High School, Ayetoro Ekiti, Ido Osi, local government; Omuo Ore Secondary School, Omuo Ekiti, Ekiti East local government and Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti in Ado local government.
Meanwhile, the organisers of the competition, Ekiti State Football Association, has received a boost with a pledge of support  from a foremost banking institution, Zenith Bank Plc. The agreement which would ensure the kids and officials taking part in the competition get the opportunity to open an account with the bank with loads of benefits will also see the bank providing some financial support towards the success of the football competition.
