Kwara Must Change Honoured With Exceptional Youth Award

A leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change has been honoured with an exceptional youth award by the Kwara State government.

In appreciation of the contribution of Kwara Must Change to strengthening democracy in Kwara State, a sub-national of the Nigerian state, the Kwara State government through the Office of Senior Special Assistant on Youth Engagement has bestowed on the Kwara Must Change, an Exceptional Youth Award at the just concluded National Youth Day celebration in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.

According to the Kwara State government, the award bestowed on the group is premised on being a leading advocate for change and advancement of Human Rights in Kwara State.

The Convener of Kwara Must Change, AbdulRazaq Hamzat, while appreciating the state government for the award stated that, democracy will only produce the right result, if all those who have something to offer do so genuinely with good intentions, without expecting praise or reward, noting that, those who work for the love of humanity are the reason for human growth and development.

Hamzat appreciated the state government for finding the group worthy of the award and thanked the general public for their support of the group.

He further restated the group’s commitment to good governance and human rights, adding that it would continue to advocate to ensure
dividends of democracy get to the citizens and also put all the elected and appointed office holders on their toes to act in the best interest of the people.
