Kwara Must Change Sympathises With Police Over Loss Of Officer To Robbers

A leading pro democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change has sympathised with Nigeria Police Force over the lose of an officer during efforts to apprehend armed robbers who were  trying to burgle an ATM facility at Geri Alimi.

In a statement made available to journalists by Kwara Must Change state coordinator, Comrade Yusuf Olatunji, the group hailed the proactive response of police to the emergency call by citizens during the unfortunate incident that claimed the live of one police officer. 

Recall that an armed robbery incident took place in Ilorin, at Geri Alimi round about on Tuesday, in which the armed robbers attempted to burgle an ATM machine.
During the armed robbery operation which took place around 2am, Nigeria Police Force mobilised its men to apprehend the robbers and in the process, a police police officer lost his life.

“We sympathised with the police, commended their bravery and determination to protect lives and properties in Kwara State ” Yusuf said.

Kwara Must Change also called on citizens to be more security conscious and urged them to support the police in their efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
