Kwara Must Change Welcomes Era Of Peaceful Electioneering Process During APC, PDP Primaries

A leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change has congratulated the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and its opposition counterpart, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for successfully conducting violent free congresses in the state, as both parties elect new leaders to pilot the affairs of their respective political parties.

Kwara Must Change also said that the era of peaceful elections and electioneering processes is here, urging both parties to continue to build peace in the state and collaborate on security.

In a statement by the Convener of Kwara Must Change, Abdulrazaq Hamzat over the weekend, the group said that, peace must lead the way for development to follow, adding that politics is not a dirty game.

According to Hamzat, politics is the only realistic process to positive change and good governance in democratic era and the political parties are the breeding and nurturing ground for politicians that would lead the process, thereby making it a necessity, for political parties to lead the process by example.

“Politics is a game of vision, nation building and visionary individuals, not a platform for violence and hooliganism” Hamzat said.

He explained that, “although, the game of politics maybe dirty, if played by dirty individual with no vision, the game can also be clean, if played clean by visionary individuals”

Hamzat therefore commendee the vision of the Kwara State Government led by his excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and congratulated him for providing a good atmosphere for political parties to conduct peaceful congresses in the state.

Kwara Must Change also congratulated the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for conducting violent free congresses in the state, in addition to congratulating the newly elected chairmen of both parties.
