Lagos CSOs Pay Courtesy Visit To Ikeja LG Boss, Comrade Akeem Dauda

Yesterday, 14th August, 2025, civil society organizations in Lagos paid a courtesy visit to Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD) at his Ikeja House office.

 

The visit was to congratulate him on his emergence as the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government and to solidarise with him as one of their own in the struggle for social justice and grassroots development.

 

In his remarks, Comrade Dauda warmly welcomed his comrades, expressing deep appreciation for their visit and recalling their shared days of activism and sacrifice. He reminded them of the battles they had fought together for the good of the people, stressing that “it is not yet time to retreat” as the work of nation-building and community advancement is still ongoing.

Comrade Dauda further reiterated his commitment to transparent governance, people-oriented policies, and inclusive development in Ikeja. He called on the CSOs to remain steadfast in their advocacy, assuring them that his administration will always keep its doors open for constructive engagement and collaboration.

 

The meeting ended on a note of solidarity, with the civil society leaders pledging their unflinching support to AKOD’s vision for Ikeja and the larger Lagos community.
