Lagos FA Hails FC Robo Queens After Loss At AIETO Cup Final

The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has reacted after FC Robo Queens suffered 2-4 defeat against Bayelsa Queens in the female AIETO Cup final played Sunday afternoon at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, Edo State.


Chairman Technical Committee of Lagos FA, Dotun Coker commended FC Robo Queens for their doggedness and fighting spirit displayed throughout the encounter.


He said the Lagos based premier club fought to the last minute noted that FC Robo Queens deserved commendation ,applause and support from Lagos football fans.


“We came to Edo to give FC Robo Queens our total support. We saw what our girls did on the field of play and we appreciated their effort throughout the Aiteo Cup. We are happy with their performance against Bayelsa Queens despite the loss. We are proud of them and the Lagos FA would continue to give them support in their subsequent matches,” he said.


Coker also congratulated Bayelsa Queens for their victory over their opponents saying that both teams played well but noted that it was unfortunate that a Lagos based team were unlucky to have lost the cup to their opponents.
