Lagos House: Hon Bello Withdraws, Supports Hon Kasunmu

With just few days to the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to determine their candidates for the Lagos House of Assembly, a front line aspirant,  Hon. Olaide John Bello popularly known as OJB, has withdrawn from the race.

Hon. Olaide John Bello was aspiring to represent the Ikeja Constituency II in the State Assembly and had put up a strong campaign to clinch the party ticket.

In a statement by his campaign organisation signed by Mr. Oni, Coordinator, OJBCO, the aspirant indicated that he has withdrawn from the race to throw his weight behind the current lawmaker representing the Ikeja Constituency II, Hon. Adedamola R. Kasunmu, ARK.

“This is to inform the general public and all members of the All Progressives Congress within Ikeja II and Nigeria, that I have decided to withdraw from the upcoming primaries of the Lagos State, House of Assembly to support the incumbent, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), having listened and accepted the party directives to step down at various meetings with party leaders Mr. Tayo Ayinde – a foremost leader of the APC and DG (BOSCO), Hon. Julius Olumuyiwa Oloro, Executive Chairman of Ojudu LCDA and wise counsels of our MHR, Hon James Abiodun Faleke”

“We are doing this in the best interest of our party and our constituents consequent upon the wise counsels of those we considered leaders, fathers and mothers. I further vouch for the programmes and the contributions of the incumbent and I’m ready to work with him to move Ikeja II to the next level and to ensure that the good people of Ikeja II enjoys the dividends of democracy”

“On behalf of my humble self and my team, we once again use this opportunity to thank party members of ikeja II Constituency for their support and also urge everyone to come out in good numbers to vote for Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) at the primaries of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikeja II. Igbega ilu eko! Ajumose gbogbo wa” Hon. Olaide John Bello submitted.
