Lagos LG Polls: Coalition Endorses Folakemi Agboola for Ejigbo LCDA Chairmanship 

A coalition of Women groups in All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed Hon Folakemi Agboola for Chairmanship in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area ahead of Lagos State council polls.

The coalition in a statement issued on Sunday by its Convener, Iyabo Sakete said the endorsement of Folakemi Agboola for Ejigbo LCDA Chairman became necessary to deepen women inclusion at grassroots and local governance.

The group noted that the APC Aspirant has been a vibrant voice for women in Ejigbo LCDA, Lagos State and national level propagating progressive ideologies and programmes.

According to the APC women coalition, Folakemi Agboola fondly called Moremi Asoludero, has paid her dues in the All Progressives Congress in Ejigbo LCDA and in Lagos State where she served as State Coordinator for Women in the Tinubu/Shetima Campaign Group and as member, Directorate of Planning & Strategy, ICC for Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat, a group tasked with developing strategic plans for the successful election campaign of Lagos State Governor.

The Convener noted that the Aspirant enjoys wide followership among party faithful and populace in Ejigbo LCDA.

“We therefore urge our party leadership to pick Folakemi Agboola as Chairmanship Candidate ahead of Lagos local government elections slated for July. We believe her candidacy would encourage and deepen women participation in leadership of out council. Her vision will complement #Lagosrising agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the national level.

Folakemi Agboola holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Management and certifications in Project Management.

She is well read, widely travelled and has decades of experience in Project Management consultancy within and outside Lagos State.
