Lagos SWAN Celebrates Sanwo-Olu At 57

The body of sports journalists in Lagos State, otherwise known as Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos chapter, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu who clocked 57 years on Saturday.

Olatutu Oladunni, Secretary of Lagos SWAN Caretaker Executive Committee, said that Mr Sanwo-Olu’s regime, since he assumed office in 2019, has brought positive changes into the fortune of sports in the state.

She said that in the over three years that Sanwo-Olu has been the head of government in Lagos State, people can count of lot of dividends of democracy of his government in sports.

Lagos SWAN said the sports family in the state could not but be thankful to God for having Sanwo-Olu’s at this period.

Oladunni said that from the grassroots sports, to school sports and other areas of sports development such as infrastructural, human and talent development, Lagos SWAN gives the Governor a good pass mark because his administration has been able to bring positivity to the face of sports in Lagos.

According to Oladunni, the Governor’s interest and attention to sports have given the youths opportunities to express themselves and keep them busy for them to be useful for themselves, their families and the state as a whole.

‘On behalf my Chairman, Aaron Akerejola, the Advisor, Wole Alakija and all members of sports writing fraternity in Lagos, we want to wish our dear Governor, happy birthday. We pray that God will continue to give him wisdom to stir the ship of the state as we all looking forward to the general elections next year,” Oladunni said.
