LASCON Announces Recruitment Of Nursing Officers

The Lagos State College of Nursing, LASCON, Igando, has commenced the recruitment of qualified and experienced Nurse Educators for its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

A statement signed by the Provost of the College, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, said the recruitment became necessary due to the commencement of the Five-Year National Diploma programme for Registered Nurse (RN) and a non-terminal Higher National Diploma programme for Registered Midwifery/Public Health Nurses (RM/PHN).

She emphasised that the requirements for the positions of the Principal Nursing Officers (Grade Level 12) and Nursing Officers (Grade Level 9) are a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and a Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (B.Sc) respectively, with a Second Class Lower Level Division from a recognised University, Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) Certificate or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.

While informing that a Master’s Degree in Nursing or other Health related Courses is an added advantage, Orenuga reiterated that candidates must have at least five years of cognate experience from an Educational Institution and must be duly registered with a current licence of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

She disclosed that all application letters with photocopies of all certificates, licences and Curriculum Vitae (CV) should be forwarded to the Provost, Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, LASU-Isheri Road, Igando, Lagos.
