Lekki Summer League Season Basketball Competition Set For July 25th – 27th

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Grassroots Sports, in collaboration with Range Rockers Association, is proud to announce the upcoming Lekki Summer League season Basketball Competition.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the event will take place at Greensprings School, Lekki, Lagos, from Thursday, July 25th to Saturday, July 27th, 2024.

This initiative aligns with the THEMES agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, focusing on grassroots sports development in local communities across Ibeju Lekki and its environs. The competition aims to promote basketball talent, foster community engagement, and encourage youth participation in sports.

The three-day event will feature teams from various local communities, competing in a round-robin format. The finals will be played on the last day, followed by an award ceremony to recognize the winners and outstanding players.

The SSA on Grassroots Sports, Hon. Adebanji Atewogboye, emphasized the importance of investing in grassroots sports development, stating, “We are committed to creating opportunities for our youth to excel in sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle through Basketball”.
