Like Moses, Akeredolu Is Creating New Ways

The story surrounding the construction of the 15km Road from Ijoka in Akure to Idanre could be likened to that of Moses in the Bible. Moses made a way through the red sea.

In today’s world, we are no longer faced with red seas like the one Moses conquered. But today, our red sea is in form of corruption, flimsy excuses, incompetence and lack of will power to deliver dividend of good governance to the people.

Governor Akeredolu has proven to be another Moses of our time. He damned the challenges and he’s making the Ijoka/Idanre Road a reality. Just like Moses, Akeredolu’s biblical rod is his passion for services, his dreams for a new Ondo State, his will power, his discipline and his integrity which makes it possible for him to mobilize contractors to site without a dime. Very unusual!

The aforementioned biblical rod is what Governor Akeredolu employed to construct the 15km Idanre/Ijoka Road in the thick forest. No one would have believed that such a thick forest could be turned into an expressway. Just like Moses turned the red sea into a dry land, Governor Akeredolu has turned the thick forest into an expressway.

Many critics have murmured and criticized the government unfairly. But like Moses was unperturbed at the murmuring of the children of Isreal, Akeredolu has remained focused and determined.

He has remained undaunted in the face of the war of Pharaoh. In this context, the war of Pharaoh includes the huge debt inherited, the huge recurrent expenditure and the very low Internally Generated Revenue which this administration is making unrelenting efforts to improve.

With where Ondo State is today, its evident that Akeredolu will take the people to the promise land. The people of Idanre are most fortunate. The 15km virgin road is huge and first of its kind in the history of the ancient town.

From time immemorial, Idanre has only one access road. Akeredolu has now given the town another access road to ensure rapid development of the area.

Today, land owners along the new road are praising the Governor. Farmers, whose farms are located along the road, continue to shower the Governor with prayers and praises. To them, their farm produce will now get to the market with ease. They will no longer be at loss.

I have noticed some private schools along the road. Just like the owners of the private schools, other people will be encouraged to start developing their plots of land along the road. In the same vein, the Idanre hill will assume its full tourism potentials and further put Ondo State on the world map. What this means is development.
