Lovers In Police Net For Stealing Drinks In A Hotel

A 27-year old lady, Mayowa Oladipupo who went to a popular hotel with her lover, Ijere Ikpezi, to catch some fun has landed in trouble after she was allegedly caught with bottles of Johnnie Walker Red Label brand of whisky they reportedly stole from the hotel.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Oladipupo was arrested and charged before a Lagos court and remanded in prison custody, while her lover, Ikpezi was said to have escaped and now at large.

The incident happened at Amsodav Hotel located at Ejigbo area of Lagos where the suspects went for a romp.

Apart from the two bottles of Red Label whisky, the police also recovered two cups and opener as exhibits. The total cost of the items they reportedly stole was put at N12,000 only.
They are facing charges of conspiracy, stealing and fraud.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects went to the hotel, requested for the items and secretly carried took them away without paying a dime. The lady was arrested with the items but her partner fled.

Oladipupo was charged before Isolo Magistrates court for the alleged offence while the police were said to be on the trail of Ikpezi.

She pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr Oje Uagbale did not object to her being granted bail; asked the court to grant her bail so that she will come for trial in the interest of justice.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.G. Oghre granted her bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum. She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 27 November, 2017.
