Make That Call Now! Congratulate Soludo, Nwankpo Tells Andy Uba

The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the just concluded Anambra governorship election, Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, has queried the refusal of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Andy Uba, to congratulate the winner, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
It was reported in the media that Senator Andy Uba had rejected the outcome of the polls and had refused to congratulate Soludo while other candidates, who also lost in the election including Nwankpo, had sent congratulatory messages to the winner.
According to the reports, Uba was said to have claimed that the elections were marred by widespread irregularities, alleged intimidation and voter suppression, which he said cleared the path for the victory of APGA in the polls. He was said to had vowed to pursue his “stolen mandate” to the limits allowed by the law of the land.
However, reacting, Nwankpo, through his Director General, Media, Dr. Harris Chuma, had called on the opposition elements not to initiate anything capable of subverting the will of the majority of the people.

In his goodwill message, he stated that it is only God who decides leaders, adding that any attempts geared towards instigating people to reject the INEC results will be testing the resolve of the good people of Anambra State.
He, however, called on disgruntled persons to jettison and throw into the dustbin of history, the idea of challenging the hugely successful Anambra governorship election, asking Andy Uba, why? Apparently referring to his refusal to congratulate the winner.
Nwankpo maintained that no one can change the will of ndi Anambra. He enjoined Senator Andy Uba, and others to call and congratulate Prof Soludo and join hands in making Anambra greater.
