A 20-year old man, Abdullahi Musa, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 10-year old by inserting his finger and penetrating her private part.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 13th of November, 2025 at Dansa Tedi Road, Onireke Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim to his apartment, removed her pants and inserted his finger into her private part. Thereafter, he allegedly penetrated her before he allowed her to go.
However, the victim informed her parents about what happened and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence on two counts.
The charges read:
“That you, Abdullahi Musa ‘M’, on the 13th of November, 2025, at No 1 Dansa Tedi Road, Onireke Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did defile the victim ‘F’ 10 years old by having unlawful carnal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Abdullahi Musa ‘m’ on the same date, place and time at the forementioned magisterial district, did sexually assault the victim, 10years, by penetrating her vagina with your finger and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
