Man, 20, Arrested For Defiling 10-Year Old Boy Inside Bush

Police operatives from the The Federal Capital Territory Police Command have arrested a 20-year-old man, Nura Auwal, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old boy inside a buah in Lugbe area of Abuja. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed  at the weekend by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the arrest.
She stated that the matter was reported at the Trademore Police Division on 24tth October 2025.
SP Adeh explained that the father of the victim, Mr. Sani Yakubu, reported that his son returned home crying on 23rd October, 2025, after being sexually assaulted by the suspect in a nearby bush, where he had gone to ease himself.
“The boy alleged that the suspect, Nura Auwal, accosted and sexually assaulted him, gave him ₦200, and threatened to kill him if he tells anyone,” the statement read in part.
According to the Police, the victim was immediately taken to the Police Hospital in Garki for medical attention, while operatives from the Trademore Division swung into action and arrested the suspect within the Lugbe area.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect has a history of engaging in similar acts and was introduced to the practice by an acquaintance in Katsina State. Investigation is ongoing, and the suspect will be charged in court upon its conclusion” SP Adeh said.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, has strongly condemned the incident and reaffirmed the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on all forms of sexual and gender-based violence. He further assured that the victim is receiving the necessary medical assistance.
SP Adeh stated that the suspect will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal Law of the FCT but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
