A 22-year old man, Damilola Fatimiro, has landed in trouble in Lagos State over sex romp with a 17-year old girl after beating her mercilessly and forcing her into the act.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Awoyokun Street, Ilupeju area of Lagos State, where they reside.
He has been arrested and charged for statutory rape, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
The suspect, Damilola, reportedly lured the girl to an apartment, tried to convince her to have sex with him but she refused. Her refusal angered him and he decided to have his way.
He was alleged to have attacked and slapped her before raining punches on her and forcing her into the act without her consent. And having satisfied himself, he then allowed her to go.
However,  trouble started after the girl went home and informed her parents about what happened. The matter was then reported to the Police at Ilupeju Division and the suspect was arrested and detained for interrogation over his unruly conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie,  asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 26th January, 2023, for the report of DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
