A 24-year old man, Gabriel Ayomide, has been arrested and charged for allegedly selling hard drugs on the streets to under aged children in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Ayomide, was apprehended at Iyana Odo area of Alagbado, Lagos, following credible information to the Police by members of the community over his alleged conduct with his accomplice now at large in the area.
Thus, the Police at Alagbado Division moved into action and arrested Ayomide while other suspects managed to escape and now at large.
During investigation, the Police recovered hard drugs from him as exhibits such as Indian hemp, Colorado, loud, Ice, Rophynol, Tramadol and others, which he was selling on the streets.
The Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and being in possession and selling hard drugs on the streets.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail with sureties and adjourned the matter for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
