Man, 27, Arraigned For Stealing Company’s Products Worth N5m Inside Warehouse

A 27-year old man, Adeyemi Adegbite, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing a company’s chemical materials worth N5m inside the warehouse. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 3rd January, 2026, at Mega Plastic Ware House, owned by the company known as Findo Rest Nigeria Limited located at 27 Town Planning Way, Ilupeju, Lagos.

 

According to the Police,  the suspect and others now at large burgled the company’s warehouse and carted away the products .

 

However, the company later discovered that the products were stolen and reported the matter to the Police at the Ilupeju Division. The Police operatives moved into action, arrested and detained the suspect at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

 

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

COUNT I:”That you, Adeyemi Adegbite and others at large now, on the 3rd of January, 2026 at about 0500hrs at No. 27 Town Planning Way, Ilupeju Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT II:”That you, Adeyemi Adegbite and others at large now, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal chemical material at Mega Plastic Warehouse worth Five Million Naira Only (N5,000,000) property of Findo Rest Nigeria Limited and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, he pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
