Man, 28, Arrested For Inserting Finger Into Neighbour’s 15-Year Old Daughter’s Private Part

A 28-year old man, Ted Eni, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly inserting his finger into the private part of his neighbour’s 15-year old daughter.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Eni, has been arrested for sexual assault.
The incident happened at Alexandra Drive, Crown Estate, Sangototedo area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim into his apartment and engaged her in a discussion. He was said to have confused her and inserted his finger into her private part. She raised alarm and reported what happened to her parents.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and he was arrested and later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over the alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and then charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 1st June, 2023, for mention for the report of DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
