Man, 28, Arrested For Picking His Needs At Justrite Super Store Without Payment

A 28-year old man, Samson Adeyemi, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for walking into Justrite Super Store, picking his needs without paying a dime and tried walking away. 
 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that he has been arrested and charged for stealing.
The incident happened at Justrite Super Store located at Jakande Estate, Ejigbo area of Lagos.
However, while he tried walking away from the store, the security guards accosted him and he engaged them in a fight. He claimed that they have no right to ask him to produce receipts for the items he picked.
He was apprehended and handed over to the Police at Ejigbo Division for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
While being interrogated, he told the Police that he did not pay any money after he picked few things he needed, which included cream, lotion, men boxer shorts, shirts, yoghurts and other sundry items worth N61,000 belonging to Justrite Super Store.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for stealing.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Dosumu, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
