Man, 30, Defiles Girl, 13, After Sucking Breasts

Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have arrested a 30-year old man, Monday Daniel, who allegedly defiled a 13-year old girl after getting her confused by sucking her breasts and she lost control.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oranrewaju Street, Orile Agege area of Lagos, where they reside.

The suspect was said to have lured the victim to his apartment, used words of mouth to confuse her, fondled and sucked her breasts, which made the girl became more confused and was unable to control herself before he penetrated her.

After the act, she realized herself and raised alarm which attracted their neighbours and parents, who reported to the Police and the suspect, Daniel was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation.

During investigation, Daniel admitted to have slept with the girl but with her consent, which the victim denied and claimed she was lured into the act; she narrated how he fondled and sucked her breasts.

The Police found Daniel culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the victim is still a minor.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.

The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP while the matter was adjourned till 23rd January, 2022.

The matter may likely be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence over jurisdiction.
