Man, 30, Lands In Police Net Over S*x With Girl, 14

A 30-year old man, Saheed Sururaini, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly confused, lured a 14-year old girl and engaged her in sex and he was caught.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Sururaini, has been arrested over alleged defilement.

The incident happened at Idi Aba area of Epe, Lagos, where they reside.

He was said to have lured the girl after he confused her with words of mouth and then engaged her in sex severally.

Having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go but asked her not to tell their neighbours what happened.

However, the act got exposed after the girl revealed what happened to her parents, who then went to the Police and reported that the suspect defiled the girl, who is still a minor.

The Police then arrested and subsequently charged the suspect before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, to the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Ajibade, ordered his remand in Correctional Centre pending the outcome of DPP’s report and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 9th December, 2021, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
