A 32-year old man, Nwoke Chijioke, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his neighbour’s 14-year old girl in sex and Impregnating her in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Chijioke, has been arrested and charged for defilement over his alleged conduct.
The incident happened on 29th September, 2025, at Aderinto Street, Fafuwa Estate, Ipaja, Lagos where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect allegedly lured the victim to his apartment, engaged her in sex severally and asked her not tell anyone about it.
However, the matter was exposed after the victim became pregnant and she mentioned the suspect as being responsible.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Nwoke Chijioke ‘M’ on the 29th day of September, 5 at Aderinto Street, Fafuwa Estate, Ipaja, Lagos in Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile one girl ‘F’ age 14 years old by having sexual intercourse with her, which resulted to her being pregnant without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable der Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Jeria, 2015.
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the Prosecutor, Mr Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
