A 32-year old man, Emmanuel Friday, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring a woman into his office, getting her confused by fondling her breasts and engaging her in sex as she was unable to resist his moves.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Karimu Kotun Street, Green Key Facility Management Victoria land, Ogba, Lagos.
The victim later regained her senses but by then the suspect, Friday, had already satisfied himself. She raised alarm and reported the ugly incident to the Police  Intelligence at DSVA, who moved into action, arrested Friday and detained him for interrogation over his conduct.
The Police alleged that the suspect lured the woman into his office, held her with words of mouth, then fondled her breasts, which got her confused before he engaged her in sex.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to have slept with her but with her consent, which the woman denied. She told the Police that he did it without her consent because he fondled her breasts and got her confused.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for sexual assault by penetration.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned after the prosecutor Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because of the nature of the offence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate,  Mr. L.A. Owolabi, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
