Man, 33, Docked For Defiling Girl, 14, After Fondling Her Breasts

A 33-year old man, Wisdom Ochigbo Jideofor, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly fondling the breasts of a 14-year old girl in order to get her confuse and defiling her in the process by penetration. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect,  Jideofor, has been arrested and charged for sexual assault and defilement under the Criminal Law of the State.
The incident happened between 28th and 29th September, 2025, at Leye Prat Street, Isheri area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim, used words of mouth to hold her, fondled her breasts and she became confused before he engaged her in the act.
However, the act later got exposed to the victim’s parents and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for interrogation.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Wisdom Ochigbo Jideofor ‘m, between the 28th and 29th day of September 2025 at No. 5, Leye Prat Street, Isheri – Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault the victim ‘f 14years old by touching her breasts and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 283(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Wisdom Ochigbo Jideofor ‘m’, on the same date, and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did defile the victim and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
