Man, 34, Arrested For Engaging Neighbour’s Girl, 6 In Sex

A 34-year old man, Francis Oluwole Oladeji, has landed in trouble after he reportedly engaged his neighbour’s 6-year old girl in sex in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Oladeji, had targeted the victim when her parents were not around, lured her into his apartment and locked his door from inside.He then allegedly brought out his dick and forced it into her private part while carrying her on his lap in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
However, the act leaked and the parents of the girl reported what happened to the Ijede Police Division. The suspect, Oladeji, was arrested and detained for further  interrogation.After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ikorodu Magistrate Court for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court for the alleged offence.

The prosecutor, Inspector John, told the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the victim involved in the matter was a minor.Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F.A. Azeez, ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.The matter has been adjourned twice and further adjourned till 7th May, 2020 for the report of DPP to be available.

Meanwhile, Oladeji will remain in prison custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice. The matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s advice finds him culpable and recommends that he should be tried for the alleged offence.
Speaking on the incident, Comrade Akin-Akala Adeyemi, who facilitated the arrest of the defendant, decried the high rate of abuse in the society.He stated that the victim needs justice and that is why his group works hard to ensure that perpetrators are brought to book.
