Man, 35, Arraigned For Drugging & Engaging Girl,16, In Marathon Sex

A 35-year old man, Adeyinka Kolajo, has been remanded in custody for allegedly drugging a 16-year old girl and engaging her in marathon sex after she became unconscious due to the effect of the drug.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 25th March, 2025, at 39/40 Surulere Onikanga Street, Ayobo, Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim into his apartment, gave her the drug and she became unconscious. He then removed her clothes and engaged her in sex for several hours without the victim resisting because she was unconscious.
The victim later regained her senses and discovered that she was naked. But by then the suspect had satisfied himself. She raised alarm and claimed that she was drugged and defiled.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ayobo Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct against the victim.
During interrogation, the Police discovered that the suspect had sex with the victim severally during the period she was unconscious and found him culpable for the alleged offence. He was consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The charges read:
COUNT 1: “That you, Adeyinka Kolajo, on the 25th day of March 2025, at about 2200hrs at 39/40 Surulere Onikanga Street, Ayobo, Lagos in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did defile the victim by forcefully getting her naked and had carnal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Adeyinka Kolajo, on the same date time and place in aforementioned Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause reach of peace by unlawfully giving the victim’ 16years old IPHSHAMEI MEDICINE, a hard drugs which can cause her bodily harm and committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 168(e) of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
