A 35-year old man, Adetula Adeolu, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly lured a 9-year old girl, sucked her breasts and eventually defiled her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Jammu Raji Street, Ikotun area of Lagos, where they reside.

The Police alleged that the suspect had lured the 9-year old victim to his apartment several times, removed her pant and inserted his finger into her private part in order to open it for easy penetration.

He was said to have abused her severally before he eventually penetrated her forcefully, which made her to bleed and he got exposed.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ikotun Division and the suspect, Adeolu, was arrested.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol  Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

Hence, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule- Amzat, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody  without an option of bail pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.

The Court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while Adeolu will remain in prison custody pending when the report will be ready in order to determine the jurisdiction of the matter.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Adeolu’s case may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds him culpable and recommends his trial.

The matter was adjourned till 28th April, 2020, for report of the DPP to be available.
