Man, 35, Docked For Fondling Breasts Of Students Inside School Premises

A 35-year old man, Oluwagbenga Egberonngbe, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly fondling breasts and hugging some students inside the school premises in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Egberonngbe, has been arrested and charged for sexual assault under the Criminal law of the State.
The incident happened at Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School, Grammar School Sus Stop, Ojudu Berger, Lagos State.
According to the Police, the suspect allegedly lured some students, touched their breasts and hugged them in order to satisfy his sexual desire. And having satisfied himself, he allowed them to go.
However, trouble started for him after some of the students informed their parents about what happened. The parents in turn reported the matter to the school management and the suspect was invited for interrogation over the alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the management found him culpable and handed him over to the Police at DSVA in Alausa, Ikeja. He was arrested and detained for further interrogation.
Having been found culpable by the DSVA, he was consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
COUNT 1: “That you, Oluwagbenga Egberonngbe, sometime in the month of January, 2025, at Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School, Grammar School Bus Stop, Ojudu Berger, Lagos State, in Ogba Magisterial District, did sexually assault some students of the above mentioned School by touching their breasts and hugging them and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 264 Sub Section 2 (A) of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence that brought him before the Court.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd April, 2025, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
