Man, 35, Docked For Stripping Girl,17 & Inserting Pepper Into Private Part

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident took place at Aguluezechukwu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

After his arrest, he was brought before the Court on a nine-count charge including sexual abuse, unlawful assault, stealing and infliction of physical injury.

The motive behind Chukwuka’s action was not particularly stated by the Police but the operatives charged him before the Children and Sexual Offences Court sitting in Amawbia, Anambra State, for the alleged dastardly act.

He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.

The prosecutor, Inspector Anayo Nwano, told the Court that the offences were committed on  28th July, 2022 and he was arrested and detained for interrogation over the conduct and was found culpable before he was brought to the Court for arraignment.

“The defendant and others at large sexually abused the victim by touching and applying pepper on her private part. He emotionally abused her and unlawfully assaulted her by stripping her naked, tying her hands and legs, flogging her to stupor with peppered cane and inflicting injuries on her body. He also deprived her of her liberty and stole her phone with a bag containing unidentified sum of money,” he said.

The Presiding Chief Magistrate, Genevieve Osakwe, ordered that the accused be remanded in Police custody without an option of bail and adjourned the matter till 21st September, 2022, for mention and DPP’s advice.
