A 36-year old man, Roland Okajere, has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly engaging his 18-year old biological daughter in sex inside his shop.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ikotun Bus Stop, Ikotun of Lagos, where his shop was located.
However, while he was forcefully engaging the daughter in the act, she raised alarm which attracted their neighbours, who forced him to remove his dick from her private part and rescued her.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area; he was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Police State Command for interrogation over his unruly conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable as it was discovered that it was not the first time he was sexually touching the daughter without her consent before he allegedly committed the recent one that landed him in trouble.
He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged rape under the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Esther Igbineweka, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The prosecutor told the Court that the alleged offence  committed was punishable under Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, L. A. Owolabi, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 12th April, 2023, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
