Police operatives from Shasha Division of the Lagos State Command have arrested a 40-year old man, Peter Udoh, for allegedly forcing his dick inside his 9-year old daughter and in the process defiled her.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Sanni Street, Jaiye Oba area of Shasha Lagos, where they reside.
Apart from her father, who was said to have defiled her, their neighbour, Chi Abellega, 44, was said to have taken advantage of the victim by penetrating her private part.
Both the father, Udoh and their neighbour, Abellega, have been arrested and being charged for defilement.
The Police alleged that the father of the victim had separated from her mother, who left the victim to live with him. In the process, he started molesting her by stripping himself, forcing his dick inside the victim’s mouth and forcing her to suck it in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
The assault on the victim continued until when she was unable to bear it any longer. She then opened up to her neighbours and the matter was reported to the Police at Shasha Division. The Police then arrested the two suspects and transferred to them to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over their conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When they were arraigned, the Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor,  Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the alleged offence was a capital offence which attracts life imprisonment.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered their remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready. The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 15th August, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
