Man, 42, In Police Net For Planting Charms Inside Boss’ Office

A 45-year old man, Endurance Jagun, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly planting charms inside the office of his boss and he was caught in the act. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Jagun, has been arrested for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and threat to life.
The incident was said to have happened on 27th March, 2023, at the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, LASU Project in Ojo, where they were working.
According to the Police, it was alleged that the suspect had a misunderstanding with the complainant, Adekunle Adeshina, and he resorted to threatening his life.
He was said to have procured the charms and planted them before he was caught and handed over to the Police.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and then charged him before the Ojo Magistrates’ Court  on a two-count charge bordering on threat to life and causing a breach of public peace.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The Prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the Court that the alleged offence committed contravened the provision of Sections 56 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
He further asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, L.J. K Layeni, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and verified address.
The matter was adjourned till 10th May, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
