Man, 45, Docked For Defiling Daughter & Inducing Three Abortions In 4 Years 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Bello Oyebanji, AIT area of Alagbado, Lagos, where they reside.

According to the Police, the suspect, Timothy Baba wale, had between 2019 and 2023 defiled the daughter from when she was 15 years and continued till 2023 when she turned 19 years. Within the said period, he impregnated her three times and induced her abortions by giving her pills to terminate the pregnancies.

However, the dastardly act got exposed as Timothy Babawale was said to have continued the alleged assault and the victim could no longer bear the trauma of being abused by her biological father;  she then reported the matter to the Police at Alausa Division.

The Police subsequently arrested her father, Timothy and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct and causing much pains to the victim.

During interrogation, the victim narrated what she had passed through for those years and the Police found her father culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the case.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A.  Layinka, ordered Timothy’s remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice while the matter was adjourned pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
