Man, 45, Sent To Prison For Defiling Biological Daughter, 16,

A 45-year old man, Samson Adedokun, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly engaging and defiling his 16-year old daughter before he was exposed.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ipaja area of Lagos, where they reside.
He has therefore, been charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts life imprisonment.
Prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the Court that the defendant committed the offence on 13th March, 2024, at 7pm in his house by forcefully having sexual intercourse with the victim.
She said that the case was reported to the Police and the defendant was arrested for the alleged offence, which contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP”s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 8th May, 2024, for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
