Man, 47, Docked For Engaging Girl,13, In Sex Inside Redeemed Church Altar 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened inside the church located at Church street, Command Road, Ipaja area of Lagos.

According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim to the church’s altar and engaged her in sex severally before it eventually leaked and the victim revealed what happened.

The matter was reported to the Police. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the alleged offence.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

The charge read:

“That you, Adebayo Adefisan ‘M’ in the month of January, 2026, at No. 17, Church Street, Command Road, Lagos in the Ikeja magisterial District, did have sexual intercourse 3 times with the victim F’ age 13 years old in the R.C.C.G Church altar inside the compound without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of gos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

However, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Mr. Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.

The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
